Tony Dimov on BNR: THE 43rd NATIONAL ASSEMBLY IS THE FIRST TO INTRODUCE OBJECTIVITY INTO ITS LEGISLATIVE PROCESS

Dr Tony Dimov

The 43rd National Assembly is the first Bulgarian National Assembly in our modern history to agree to introduce some objectivity into its legislative process, so we must say impartially that this is a big breakthrough in our modern history and in our legislation, for the simple reason that before the amendments to the Law on Normative Acts at the end of last year our rule-making process followed the rules of the law of the early 1970s, i.e. communist rules. The reform carried out was a big revolution for us. Change, however, is like marriage – we are all very happy when we enter into it, when we celebrate, but we do not know whether it will work out. At this stage it can be said that the reform is getting off to a very difficult start.
