On 20 July 2018 the Annual Report on the Implementation of Impact Assessment for 2017 was posted on the Portal for Public Consultations. It was prepared on the grounds of Art. 77b, para. 1, item 13 from the Rules of Procedure of the Council of Ministers and of its Administration.
It reflects the status and the development of the processes related to the performance of impact assessment public consultations within the Executive power in compliance with the Law on the Normative Acts as well as the perspectives and priorities for them in the future. According to the findings made in the report for 2017, the introduction of the mechanism of impact assessment in the operation of the administration is progressing. The necessary legal basis is established. The competence and the rulemaking culture of experts from all levels of administration is increasing, as far as among their direct duties is the one to be directly involved in doing impact assessments. Improvement in the awareness of citizens and the business about their opportunities for real participation in public decision-making process has also been reported.
